After your early breakfast you will depart the hotel at 8 am to visit Kigali Genocide Memorial. After that, you’ll start your journey to Akagera National Park. You will have lunch en-route at Imigongo Arts Center in Kayonza town then proceed with your journey. After early morning breakfast, you will go for the day game drive experience for around six hours, getting up close to wildlife in Akagera National Park. Depart your hotel in Kigali and transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park in the southern province of Rwanda. This park is blessed with the beautiful scenery, abundant bird-life as well as the primates, including man’s closest relative, the Chimpanzees. After an early breakfast at 5 am embark on a drive to Cyamudongo segmented park for a hike into Nyungwe Forest for nature walk in search for Chimps. The flora in Nyungwe comes as an added bonus. You will spend one hour in their presence where you will observe, photograph and film their idyllic habitat. After lunch, drive to Uwinka for a canopy walkway experience. After breakfast, you will embark on your journey to the northern part of Rwanda, alongside Lake Kivu. The road offers a panoramic view of the lake and surrounding environments. After a leisurely breakfast, you will take a boat to explore and visit the hot springs, isolated beautiful islands, and local fishing communities around the lake. During the experience, you will encounter several bird species on the lake; enjoy the beauty of the isolated islands. After Lunch you will embark on your journey to Volcanoes National Park for 90 minutes. After an early breakfast in the morning, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for clearance, briefing and allocation. After briefing you will be led by experienced ranger guides on the hike to visit one of the 12 habituated mountain Gorillas families in the park. The terrain is rough and at times muddy. You will spend an hour in their presence when you can observe, photograph and film them in their idyllic habitat. After breakfast drive to park headquarters then meet your forest guides who will escort you into the park to trek the Golden Monkeys. Fully habituated now, enjoy a rare treat watching these unique primates play and perform in the forest.
